rb_roundabout_road_rageThe time has come where I have to watch every little word that comes out of my mouth even more.  Anthony and I were driving to a friends event this past Sunday and on our way we experienced our very first “repeat” word of ours from Isa.  We were at a stop light and someone at the cross section had honked their horn at the person in front of them.  Isa said, “Go!”.  Anthony and I automatically looked at each other and started laughing hysterically.  I had to try and get this on camera again and did! Kid’s say the darnedest things!  Please give me a good laugh and share your stories of what your child/children have said. Embarrassing, bad, funny…I wanna hear it all!  I know there are a ton  of stories out there.  Knowing this is just the beginning for me, I want a heads up and be prepared. Wait! Is that possible? Probably not! lol

NOTE: for all of you who want to criticize me for driving while filming…I’m no dummy. This is a reenactment and the car is parked! :p

My funniest story involves my niece Easter morning! We watched them open baskets and presents after church! She was almost 2 at the time (same as Isa!!). She got a stroller, as did her sister, and we headed out to push their strollers and new babies on the side walk out front of their house. There was a section of the sidewalk that had popped up higher than one next to it due to a tree root! She was pushing her stroller – which was almost as tall as her and her baby – and she got stuck on the high piece of sidewalk sticking up. She struggled for a minute, and then, in her tiny little voice, looking SO cute in her Easter dress, said, “Piece of sh*t!” – and pushed her stroller into the grass! She was DONE with that stroller – because it obviously didn’t work! Hahaha! It’s SO hard not to laugh when they say things they shouldn’t!

My daughter repeats everything…and I mean everything, so my husband and I have had to clean up what we say. I have many, but the first incident of her ‘potty’ mouth came up about 6 months ago. We had stopped to pick up some lunch at McDonald’s (for her) on our way to my parent’s house. Of course she didn’t want to eat the food while it was hot, so she kept throwing a fit that she didn’t want any chicken nuggets. She was tired when we got there, so my mom thought it would be a good idea to put her down for a nap. In the meantime, I got hungry, because I hadn’t eaten anything, so I decided to eat her chicken nuggets. After about 2 hours, my daughter wakes up from her nap, and what do you think the first thing she asked for was….YEP, the chicken nuggets! I tried to think of something to say, because I knew she would freak out because they were gone….but I wasn’t fast enough because my husband said…’Mommy ate them’ to which my daughter replied…’You A**hole’ NICE!!

Oooo, I have soooo many!!! One of the funniest…my son’s (he’s now 28) favorite Sesame Street character was the Cookie Monster. When he was about 2, I was in the kitchen and I heard a knock at the door. David comes running in jumping up and down, screaming “Mommy, the Cookie Monster is at the door!!” Upon answering the door, there was the water meter reader. He was a big, robust, African American, male dressed in a blue outfit. The meter reader thought it was hilarious and said that David “made his day”. Too bad he didn’t have a cookie, lol……..

    Tara,

My nephew, when he was about 2-3 I was watching him on a Sunday afternoon in the fall with my husband. We are all Eagles fans. Well a catch was missed and they were doing the instant replay when out of my nephews mouth….”I can’t believe he didn’t catch the G*d dam ball!” My husband and I just looked at one another then at him. He looked at us to say what, what did I do?

Boy what a Philadelphia fan he’s going to be when he gets older.
