Kiddopotamus Tinydiner Placemat $10.99

When Isabella was  6-18 months we used this Summer Infant Tiny Diner everywhere we went.  I switched from the disposable placemats to this to save a little more money and be more green.  This placemat was easy to wipe down after a meal, fit easily in my bag that I use for food and snacks and is great when eating out anywhere.  The food that usually falls on your child’s lap after missing his or her mouth is caught by the built in scoop.  One of the problems I had with the disposable placemats was when Isabella grew a little older, she was able to tear it off the table. This has suction cups that keep the placemat secure to any flat surface and is hard to remove by infants or toddlers.  Everywhere I went and other moms saw this, they would ask where I got it.  If your child isn’t quite ready for a plate on his or her own, I recommend investing your money on this neat contraption.  It was well worth my buy and Stamped with Approval by Baby & Momma!

    Unfortunately we never ended up using ours as I never put it in the diaper bag – thinking we wouldn’t need it or that the diaper bag was already to full. And I guess most of our eating out was at friend’s or family’s homes where a booster seat or highchair were available to us.

    She’s 21 mths now and still likes to dump her food out and eat it off the table / or tray so I can see where this product could be useful when eating out.

    Yea around 21 months you might not use it as much. Isabella is just a couple months older and don’t really use it much anymore. We used this all the time (even at home) when she started to sit in a booster and eat on her own. Everytime I was out eating I had a mom come up to me and ask where I got it :p great invention and I like how it just rools up when ready to go :)
