After the decision of becoming a Stay at home mom, I was desperate to find a creative outlet after missing some of the the social interactions my professional life before mommy-hood afforded me. As if just being a mom isn’t challenging enough, I wanted a way to incorporate being a mom into something positive I could share with others. After a year of getting a handle on being a new mommy to my daughter Isabella, in early 2009 I founded BabyMommaBlog.com. The goal was to help provide a multitude of parenting tips, tricks, product reviews for other new mommies experiencing the same daily challenges as myself. How did I come up with the name? I’m sure some of you have seen the movie “BabyMomma” which was based in my hometown, Philadelphia. The name was catchy and summed up my mission.. the rest is history!  Being a mom is the most challenging job I have ever experienced but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

I hope you like what you find and feel free to leave me feedback.

Not a baby-momma myself, instead a baby-daddy if you will…this is great Tara! My little one is 9 months and since I trust you, I will be sure to read and pass on the site to my wife because at first glance there are some things that are very helpful already!

Been looking for a place to take our little girl, Lila, and now I have some ideas of day trips to take her on (Please Touch Museum, for starters!)

We’ll be back to check on more great information! Thanks!!!

    Hi Bryan,

Thanks for the support! I’m glad you like my site and hoping your wife likes it just as much. :) You will LOVE the Please Touch Museum! There is so much to do and you will love the look of Lila face when she surrounds herself with the overwhelming joy of toys! lol I would suggest you take her when she is walking. I brought Isabella here when she was crawling and it’s much better now that she can go where ever her little heart desires on her own. I would love to hear feedback on how much she enjoyed the trip. Keep in touch!

  6. Neat! I’m pregnant with my second child and can’t wait for the due date, even though I know a few things there’s plenty I don’t. Thanks for the information, you don’t know how much I appreciate it.Thanks!Darla

Hi Tara! I just came across your website for the first time and I love it. I am from the Philadelphia area also so it’s great to get advice from someone so close to me. I am a stay at home mom to my 6 month old boy and am always looking for stuff to do in my area. Do you take Isabella to tumble class or mom and me groups? I hear mixed reviews about them but I think I want to try one out near me to see if Rocco (my son) enjoys it. Thank you!!

    Hi Kellie,

Congratulations on your little boy! Isn’t mommyhood fun :) I actually take her to music class on Tuesdays. She loves it and most other days we go to the park or other places indoors this time of year. What part of the city do you live in? I’ll shoot you a email. Maybe we can schedule a playdate. :)

    Tara,
That sounds like so much fun!! My son is 6 months old and I watch my friends little girl who is turning 1 in a few weeks. They would both LOVE a music class. I actually sing (terribly, of course) to get my son to eat his meals. Recently he became a picky eater and it’s the only thing that I found that works, although my husband keeps encouraging me to find another way :) I live in Havertown which is about 10 minutes south of the airport. I am always looking for indoor activities for these babies! I would love to schedule a play date!!

  10. Fantastic Web site! I was wondering if I would be able site some of your Baby-Momma Blog » Baby & Mommy Product Reviews Tips & Ticks

and use a handful of points for a school assignment. Please let me know through email if that would be fine. Thanks
