			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-3182" title="Do I have everything" src="http://babymommablog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Do-I-have-everything.gif" alt="Do I have everything" width="240" height="320" />Living in the city with a baby is hard enough but even worse when I forget something.  My husband and I each have a parking spot in a lot created for our group of town homes, which is great.   BUT why is it that I always seem to remember leaving something behind after getting Isabella strapped in her car seat?  Why doesn&#8217;t that bubble pop over my head before getting to the car about Isabella&#8217;s cup sitting on the table ready to go, or my phone sitting on the ottoman that I forgot to put in my bag, or the stack of diapers I brought down from her room because the diaper bag needed a refill?  I seriously could go on and on.  I can&#8217;t just leave her in the car while I run back into the house quick.  I have to unstrap her, run back into the house, get what I forgot, run back out to the car and strap her back into the car seat.   I&#8217;ve tried the list thing but I always forget to write something on that list.  UGH!  What is my problem?  After ready a lot about pregnancy, I came across what some call &#8220;Mommy Memory&#8221; or &#8220;Mommy Brain&#8221;.  Research has shown that a woman&#8217;s brain actually shrinks- some say between 3-5 percent and other say between 4-8 percent.   Regardless of the correct percentage, the remaining facts are that something happens within the brain of a pregnant woman which causes her brain to shrink in size when she&#8217;s prego.   Take a look at<a href="http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/conditions/02/05/pregnancy.memory/index.html" target="_blank"> this study</a>.  Or <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2008/feb/03/medicalresearch.pregnancy" target="_blank">this one</a>.  There is a ton of research information out there and a lot of the facts seem to be the same.  I&#8217;m just glad that in one of these I have read that my brain should have come back to it&#8217;s original size by now.  Even though I still seem to be forgetting things.  Oh the things I have to look forward to when pregnant with baby #2 or 3.</p>
