I took these take & Toss cups and had Isabella decorate them for fun while I was cooking dinner one day. This has become a weekly craft! She loves when we get new cups!

Rockboard 2-in-1 Adjustable Self Propell Scooter $172
Jul 28th, 2010 by Tara Bucci
Ready to ROCK!?!? This Rockboard Scooter combines two great rides in one–a classic kick scooter that transforms in an instant to a high-speed scooter. This modern scooter is sure to get the kids out of the house and be active for hours! Included with the scooter is a instructional DVD, two allen keys, carrying case, and black hat with RB logo. There’s a comfort grip hand brake when in need of a stop, adjustable telescoping handle bars for different heights (children and adults) and folds easy for storage or travel. Anthony and I are still two big kids at heart and as soon as I saw this advertised on T.V I thought of Anthony right away. Heck, I would even use this thing then save it for Isabella on down the road. To get a better visual, take a look at the video clip here!
Project Mom Casting Submission Video
Jul 27th, 2010 by Tara Bucci
The other day I came across a facebook page with details: A major award-winning production company is now casting for an exciting new series featuring online moms. This groundbreaking show will showcase the untapped world of social media, moms and bloggers and the incredible influence they wield in our society.looking for mom bloggers who would want to be a part of a Mommy Blogger Reality TV show. They asked for a 1 min video (yes, very hard to do!!) about me and my blog…so here ya go!
P.S. I know it’s not that exciting but there was only so much I could in a Minute. I wish Isabella was awake to be in it but I’m already past the deadline!!! Below my submission video is a funny video I created for a Cisco contest a couple of months ago to make you laugh (I hope :p).
Dyson Handheld DC31 $220
Jul 27th, 2010 by Tara Bucci
I am constantly lugging out my Dyson vacuum and cleaning up after Isabella. From Peanuts to fruit snacks I swear she has a hole in her mouth! After receiving this Dyson DC31 in the mail to review I swear I wish I had a belt to attach this new gadget to my hip because I would seriously take it everywhere. It a great size and works great! I was concerned on whether it would pick up the heavy stuff I’m always cleaning up but as you can see in my video, with the dual power mode option it has a very powerful suction picks up everything I need it to.
Attachments include a brush, lint brush and a extension attachment for those hard to reach places like underneath my couch. I also love how portable this was when I was cleaning my SUV. Isabella gets really antsy when I’m at the car was so this was perfect for vacuuming the car at home. The Dyson Handheld DC31 is stamped with Approval by Baby-Momma!

iPhone 4…LOVE IT!!
Jul 23rd, 2010 by Tara Bucci
My husband Anthony has had the new iphone 4 for a couple of weeks now and I have never wanted a peice of technology so bad in my life. Unfortunetly, At&t is still the only one that carries it and the service is horrible. You have read my posts about how much I hate At&t and how they have the worst service ever and I refuse to get the new phone. UNTIL…(just heard the news on Bloomberg from many people) that Verizon will have the 4g in January. YIPPEE!!!
I will pay millions to get out of this contract and have the iphone with another company. I actually had Verizon for years prior to me getting married (the biz pays for our phones) and NEVER eva eva had a problem with the service. And if something would ever happen with my phone, I could go to any Verizon store and buy or replace my old phone. At&t makes you find a branch and travel all over the world! (not really but they don’t make it easy…had to do it twice! grrr!)
Anyhow…check out my video with Guest Host, My husband “aka” Baby-Daddy of the iphone 4g. Great features, amazing guality and it’s honestly a mini mac in your hand. Love it!
ABC Travel Guides for Kids $8
Jul 22nd, 2010 by Tara Bucci
A local Philadelphia Publisher, Matthew Rosenberger, discovered ABC City Guides for Kids while traveling a ton with his wife and two young daughters. While seeing both beautiful and historic attractions in all different cities, he wanted the experience to be fun and educational. From A-Z, each book has images with a illustration to represent a specific location or historic landmark in that specific city.
The Philadelphia book has a couple of meaningful places for all of us, Anthony, Isabella and I, as we live in a very historic area. We live off of Elfreth’s Alley, mentioned with the letter Ee. Anthony graduated from Drexel, mentioned with the letter Dd.
Or how about the Betsy Ross House that we walk by pretty much every day while taking our walks around the block, to the market or dry cleaners, mentioned with the letter Bb. Using these books as a fun travel guide to the city your living in or visiting will be a great way to make that trip much more memorable. ABC City Guides for Kids has been Kid Tested Baby-Momma Approved!
What do stay at home mom’s do all day?
Jul 21st, 2010 by Tara Bucci
One of my best friends (thanks Kel!) who is a hard working mother posted this on her facebook and I had to share it will all of you. This is a great explanation of exactly what us stay at home moms do all day because sadly, I have been asked this question before. I feel insulted and not sure exactly how to answer because no matter what you say, that person will not understand or he/she wouldn’t have asked it in the first place. Prior to being a SAHM I was in sales, made amazing money and worked 12 sometimes 13 hour days. My husband and I both decided that I would stay at home while the kids (hope to have more) grow up. Being at home with my daughter is the hardest job I have ever had. I often think, how and why did I give up my career but then think, my career will always be there in a couple of years when I decide to go back. Isabella is only a child once.
Love this article and will now read this every time I’m having “one of those days” and actually have time to myself. Sometimes you just need to hear how great of a job your doing. :p
Butterfly Bungalow Real Hatching Butterfly Kit $14.99
Jul 19th, 2010 by Tara Bucci
Let your little ones experience and learn the life cycle of a butterfly in the house. I received this kit while at a blogger conference a couple of months ago and couldn’t wait to try it out with Isabella. This Butterfly Bungalow was a fun project Isabella and I did together this past week and was a great experience, even for me!
The kit consists of an airy mesh tent with a zipper on the side by which you can access the insides. Enclosed is a mail in coupon for a charge of $3 to cover the shipping and handling. When you have the larvae, you’re ready to start. The caterpillar larvae arrive in a sealed container. You also get food in the package. You have to harvest the larvae within the container itself and wait for them to transform into chrysalides which attach themselves to the paper discs on the roof of the container. At this stage, you have to carefully transfer the chrysalides into the mesh bungalow. This has to be done delicately so as to avoid the chrysalides from falling down. Then, you wait until the butterflies begin to emerge. You can feed them sugar water sprinkled on flowers or just wet a paper towel and dip it in sugar (this is what I did because of not having any flowers).
The whole process was very streamlined and instructions are very easy to follow . As these are live creatures you’re dealing with, you got to be responsible and alert about changes in temperature etc. Sometimes, it may be possible that some of the larvae doesn’t turn into butterflies due to some inherent defect (one of ours actually passed
). Most times, however, you shouldn’t have a problem. We had a great time with this and had a great time experiencing and explaining the development to Isabella and learning about it myself. This Butterfly Bungalow Real Hatching Butterfly kit is Kid tested Baby-Momma Approved!
